Cromers1Fred and Carol Cromer have worked in Zambia since 1991 in theological education and literacy. After serving in Zambia and in Swaziland, Global Partners has appointed them to work in Uganda in Church development. Since 2015 Fred and Carol have been  in Uganda where Fred has helped the church open the Wesleyan Bible Institute with the goal  of preparing the pastors for ordination.  Carol has been working with adult literacy, helping to train tutors to teach adults how to read and write in their mother tongue.

The son of missionary parents, Fred was born in Eritrea, East Africa. He earned a B.A. degree in religion from Bartlesville Wesleyan College (now Oklahoma Wesleyan University) and an M.Div. degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary.

Carol was born to Christian parents in Kansas and raised in Oklahoma. She earned a B.S. degree in Christian education from Bartlesville Wesleyan College.

God called Fred to missions while he was in college at Bartlesville. Fred and Carol pastored an inner-city church in Kansas City for ten years prior to leaving for Zambia.Fred and Carol’s goal is to develop Spirit-filled leaders in the African Church who can lead their people into spiritual maturity.

Fred and Carol have four children: Matthew ('81), Nathan ('83), Jonathan ('87), and Hannah ('89).
